AND…

There is so much goodness, too.  That’s what I’m focusing on today.

Firstly, two wonderful friends have just started groups to focus on the good!!  PLEASE check out The JOYbirds and This Life Rocks!  The JOYbirds was started by my soul sister, Annie Fitzgerald Olson. Annie and I met a million years ago (ok, more like 15-20) in the Twin Cities theatre circle and then were fortunate to actually do a few shows together! Unfortunately, Annie and I don’t see one another as often as we’d like, but when we do, it’s always instant magic.  Annie and her family live in Crookston, MN and are spreading sunshine all over that city!  PLUS, Annie is an incredibly gifted songwriter/singer/musician/dancer/all things good so it turns out she’s always been spreading goodness, The JOYbirds is just an extension of her gorgeous self. And then we get to…

This Life Rocks! This life rocks was started by our friend, Nika, from Northfield, MN.  I met Nika’s mom, Jana, a few years ago when we judged a dance competition together.  Jana and I became instant friends! You know how you feel a connection for someone, even though you’ve never met them?  That’s how I feel about Jana.  Jana and her unbelievably beautiful and resilient family run a performing arts school in Northfield and now are giving light and love to others with This Life Rocks! They paint inspiring and positive messages on rocks and hide them for others to find! More on a joint event in a minute.

Secondly, Tim and I met a few days ago and are not only excited to share some events coming up soon, but are also planning an event every month in 2018!!  If you have any event ideas feel free to send an email to [email protected].

This weekend:

The Gratitude Tree will begin on the Centennial Lakes Promenade in Edina, MN.  This will be our fourth summer!  You can find the tree behind the Macy’s home store and next to the turtle sculpture.  The tree will be up until on or around Labor Day.

July:
1) Once again we will be participating in The Color Run.  The event is on 7/9. We will be casually strolling instead of running.  As of now, we have 9 people signed up and would love to have more join us.  You can sign up for The Color Run Twin Cities here: http://thecolorrun.com/locations/twin-cities/. 2) Our Garage Sale Fundraiser will take place on July 13, 14 and 15.  To donate, sign up to help prep for the garage sale, or sign up to help at the garage sale itself, please send an email to: [email protected] and someone will get back to you soon with details. 
3) We are SO EXCITED to team up with This Life Rocks for a co-event! We will be decorating rocks with positive messages and then you can take them home to share in your communities!  Our event will take place on Sunday, July 16th from 11-1 at 1001 Division Street South in Northfield. You may park on the street or in the rear.  Please enter on the Division Street side of the building.
